Classic and Colourful Menswear ft. Niall

Niall_OOTD_ThisIsAine

Remember this OOTD that I posted from The coronas Concert in Galway?! Yes, well I didn't go to Galway alone. I was with my mam, my sister, and my sister's boyfriend Niall.

Niall's look is all about being put together but remaining as comfortable and functional as possible. I loved his mix of burgundy and pink in this outfit for The Coronas gig and he was good enough to pose for some blog pics. What a gem!

A shirt and jumper combo is a distinctly Irish classic and is perfect for all smart-casual occasions. Check out this jumper from Topman that I think would be perfect for the look. And, pair it with this River Island shirt.

Add some simple skinnys or straight leg jeans to keep the look a little more on the casual side of smart-casual; here are a pair from Asos. Also, while Niall's shoes suited his look, I have always been a lover of a good brogue so check out this fab pair from River Island.

What do you lovelies think of the look. Be sure to let myself, Niall, and my assistant for the day, Niamh know by leaving a comment on this post. Also, check out some of Niamh's awesome photography and words of wisdom over on her instagram.

Matchy Matchy in Monochrome

I headed to The Corona's concert in Galway this weekend {it was awesome, they never disappoint} and this is what I wore. This look is perfect for being on the go, comfy, classic, and cool.

You can really never go wrong in monochrome for any occasion and... people tend to think you know what your doing with fashion if you wear monochrome, ever noticed that?!

On my lips I am wearing my absolute fave, 'Russian Red' from MAC, I think it's been discontinued but they have loads more reds to choose from and there are plenty of more affordable brands like 'Wet N' Wild' that make fab red lippys so don't be afraid to shop around. Red lipstick really compliments our pale Irish skin so I do think it's something every girl from the Emerald Isle should have in her arsenal.

As for the outfit, most of these pieces I actually picked up ages ago in River Island so they are no longer available. However it is super easy to pick up black culottes and a sleeveless blazer on the high-street these days because everyone is making them. Check out some similar pieces online: Alternative blazer - ASOS. Alternative Culottes - Missguided. Alternative Top - Topshop. Alternative Bag - BooHoo. My shoes are just Adidas Superstar runners and you can shop them here

I hope you guys like the look. Be sure to let me know by leaving a comment.

Trend Spotting: 70's Forever

From fringe, to wide- leg jeans and everything in between; 70's style has been a serious player during festival season this summer. But, just because summer is over does not mean this is the end of our 70's love affair. So hold on to your fringing because it looks like the 70's are forever.

Autumn/ Winter '15 shows were jam packed with 70's shapes and patterns, and praise the lord because a shift dress looks good on just about everyone. Check out Cheryl Fernandez-Versini rocking the trend twice during the X Factor Auditions this year:

In the above image, Cheryl is rocking a Miu Miu dress that you can pick up for a pretty penny here, and a pair of Sophia Webster heels that you can shop here.

This scallop hemmed, leather, beauty can be shopped here, and the killer shoes are available here

Now, while you may need a small fortune to get your hands on the exact pieces that our Chezza is rocking, you can always save yourself and your bank account the heart-ache by picking up your 70's style on the high-street. You guys know that I am 100% a believer in the quality, beauty, and price point of high-street stores so here are my picks for my fave shift dresses out there at the moment.

The black dress is from Topshop for £150, shop it here. The little, white beauty is from River Island for €53 and you can pick it up here. This last, patterned one is from Zara for €29.95, total bargain and the pattern just screams "vintage". Shop that one here

What are your thoughts on these looks? Let me know which dress you'll be picking up by leaving a comment on this post.
