We are really and truly in the midst of Autumn now. The crisp air, the falling leaves - how cliché of me to love such things and dream of them all year round. I can’t help it though. Autumn has been my favourite time of year for as long as I can remember. Both, for the reasons I’ve mentioned above and also for the quiet anticipation of winter, specifically christmas, just around the corner.
Enough babbling however. My love affair with this season is not what this post is about. This post is about the things that would make this season, and the one to come, just that little bit more fantastic for me (and for my wardrobe).
A chunky scarf is essential for frosty mornings. Tearing myself away from my bed is a nightmare at the best of times but that chill might be softened a tad by a scarf that could double as a blanket.
Florals in spring time may not be too ground-braking (see Meryl Streep in ‘The Devil Wears Prada’) but florals in autumn however are just fantastic. It’s not a print we see too much of around this time of the year but this skort is taking a usually spring/ summer trend and making it very wearable for autumn and winter.
Dr. Marten’s would be great for trekking through those pretty littles hills of fallen leaves on the path and jumping over puddles.
This little love heart shaped watch is just adorable - and really, who doesn’t need a little more love in their lives. Also I'm all for anything to do with my date of birth or star sign and I just couldn’t resist adding this necklace to my wish-list once I spotted it online.
Burgundy is for sure the order of the day when it comes to lipstick for autumn and winter months. It’s dark and daring and truly beautiful. What’s not to love. This is the time of year when there are lots of parties happening - Halloween, Christmas, New Years etc. and a lipstick like this one will for sure help you to stand out from the crowd.
