I am SO excited that award season is officially well underway. 'E! Live From the Red Carpet' kept me entertained last night with two hours worth of red carpet banter and fashion curtesy of my boy Ryan Seacrest and my main gal Giuliana Rancic. Kelly Osbourne also kept us up to speed with the first look at all of the best dressed ladies and gents from "Glam Central Station". Kelly and Giuliana are my spirit animals and they looked AH-MAZIIIING.
Some of my favorite colour trends from the red carpet were pastel shades, white, and black. Monochrome and pastel are definitely going to be wardrobe staples for the upcoming Spring/ Summer. To my surprise there was a lot of red dresses on the carpet too but with so many different shades of the fierce colour on show it was a trend that I am not sorry to have seen.
So without further waffle from me, here are my Golden Globes red carpet fashion faves or 2014...
Modern Family's Sarah Hyland in a beautiful George Hobeika dress. She told Giuliana Rancic that her hair was inspired by Valentino runway shows.
Zoe Deschanel in a pale gold Oscar De La Renta number with vintage jewels. Of course in true Zoe fashion she is rocking cutesy daisy nails and red lips.
Margot Robbie rocked the red carpet in this amazing sleek white dress. She kept her hair and makeup simple and clean and the dress is so streamline with just the right amount of bling, all in all she is just letting her natural beauty shine through without all the bells and whistles that a lot of girls think that they need on the red carpet. PERFECTION.
I am slightly obsessed with Caitlin Fitzgerald in this Emilia Wickstead hi-lo dress. I mean... it's perfect. I am also loving Caitlin's choice of peachy coloured accessories and coral lips. So chic!
The Good Wife star Julianna Margulies glows in this Andrew GN black and gold gown. She keeps the look match-y, match-y with black and gold jewels. This minimalistic and pretty makeup and hair look seems to have been all over the red carpet last night and I have to say I love it!
My guuuuurl G Rancic stole the show in this raspberry red, sparkling, princess gown by Lorena Sarbu. This is a very different look for Giuliana as she usually leans more towards wearing the more sleek, straight up and down dresses but I am glad that I've finally seen her in a princessy dress. She looks super fresh and youthful in this look with her minimalistic makeup and tousled bob hair do. Good job G!
So they were my absolute fave frocks from the golden globes this year. As for beauty; tousled short do's or slicked back up styles were the call of the night with very simple makeup looks. There was a lot of brown shades as far as eye shadow and liners were concerned and nude or coral lips were rocked by the masses with an occasional pop of red (Zoe Deschanel and Taylor Swift) or Plum (Jennifer Lawrence).
Get in touch and let me know who your red carpet winners were from this years Golden Globes. See you guys in my next post.
