I am sad to say that I have had my last class at TIMA. It's a kind of bitter sweet feeling. I'm sad because I really enjoyed the classes and learning all of the tips and tricks that help you to make it in the beauty and fashion industries. At the same time it's cool now that I'm certified that I can start actually looking for jobs.
For our last class we had to create a look that we wanted to do. My look was based on some really fab pastel make-up by Tom Pecheux and Charlotte Tilbury at New York Fashion Week, S/S14. I have always been really in to pastels and I have to say, I am really happy with how it turned out. I think that next time I would make the lip a little stronger but still remaining in the pastel line.
After lunch we got to work with airbrush make-up. It was so coooool. Airbrushing can seem scary, but once you get in to it, it's actually really good fun. The look that we did was to place a piece of lace on the models face and airbrush over it so that the pattern get's printed on. Then we did a statement, ombré style lip. This look literally took 10 minutes to do, but it looks like it could have taken quite a while.
It's great fun to flick through the magazines now and feel confident that if I had to recreate one of the looks featured in it that I probably could. So I just wanted to use this post to say a MASSIVE thank you to Anne, Lisa, and all of the girls in the class for making my experience at TIMA so much fun.
