The weekend is finally here and I wanted to share a make-up look that I love for a saturday night out with the gals. I love doing really dark eyes and a nude lip. It's a look that has never really gone out of style because it's so easy to achieve and anyone can pull it off.
I start the look by washing my face and then using my usual base routing which can be found here: The perfect base for any look | Makeup.
Once I've got my base sorted I tend to pop on some pretty peachy coloured blush like this one from Essence. It's shade '01 Ice Bomb'. I just smile and pop it on the apples of my cheeks and blend it out towards my hairline. After that I like to highlight using The Body Shop's 'Shimmer Waves'. I use the two lightest colours at the bottom to highlight the tops of my cheekbones, my brow bone and then I just put a tiny bit down my nose. I use some of the darker shades around my temples/ hair line.
Then I move on to they eyes. For this look I keep it simple by only using three products. My mascara is Bourjois Paris 'Volume Glamour Ultra Black' and I mentioned it in my May favourites post. This black eyeliner is great, it's by Jelly Pong Pong and it's awesome for use on your waterline and tideline. The eye shadow that I've gone for is one of my fave shadows ever, it's one of MAC's Mineralize eye shadows in 'Cinderella'. It's really handy because you can just swipe a little of this shadow on to your eye lids and it looks like you've spent ages blending different colours as it has a multi-tonal effect with silver and grey running through the black. Be sure to add a little of this colour under your bottom lashes for extra definition.
For the lips it's simply a case of using a nude lip liner all over, like this one from Essence. And then you pop on your fave nude lipstick. Mine at the moment is this Kate Moss for Rimmel London in shade '03'. Top the look off by adding a little nude gloss for a glamorous evening look. The gloss that I've used is MAC's 'Social Light'.
What look do you guys like to go for on a night out? Let me know in the comments.
